This page contains details and download points for all my free software collection.
Note: There are generally two links for a package. If you have just one link then it is a source. Filenames have version numbers followed by `s' for sources and `b' for binaries. If there no `s' or `b' then it is a source. This applies only to DOS and Windows software. Software for Linux have their usual names.
And please note that since these are free software, there is absolutely no warranty!
fformat is a low level formatter for floppies and creates a DOS/VFAT filesystem upon formatting. I initially wanted to name this "fdformat". But I chose "fformat" since "fdformat" was already a disk formatting utility for Linux and I didn't want to confuse users with this one.
This works exactly like the "diskcopy" software that is generally installed on MSDOS systems.
pdiag / sysinfo has its own page now. Go to http://www.midpec.com/prashant/pdiag/. And old, but complete version can be downloaded using the links below. If you're interested in this project and would like to contribute, see the web page for pdiag / sysinfo.
pdiag is meant to be a complete suite of diagnostic tools for Intel
systems. It is based on the lines of Norton Utilities. The System
Information module is currently under development. You can see it on the
pdiag / sysinfo page.

"powersav" is an APM utility that can suspend the system, power off
HDD(s), display units or a specific IDE-HDD on the system. It
auto-detects the presence of IDE-HDD(s) when executed and occupies just
2K of memory. This is a TSR.

I wrote this to replace the DOS version of EDIT. It's basically the same
as the text reader except that you can edit text as well.

cda32 is a very simple Audio CD player written using VC++. I no longer
intend to work on it since I hardly use Windows these days. And besides,
programming in VC++ doesn't interest me much.
